Chun-gil, who was active as a singer Moses, revealed that he underwent major surgery due to a rare disease.

On the 11th, Chun-gil appeared as a guest on KBS1's current affairs program "Morning Yard." Chun-gil debuted as a ballad singer "Moses" in 2005 and received great love with hit songs like "It's Love."

When asked about the reason for his transition to trot singing, Chun-gil said, "I was loved for 'It's Love,' but very few people knew me. I was a faceless singer." He added, "After that, I couldn't continue my activities properly and spent time doing business, manual labor, and loading and unloading packages. I wanted to share my songs with the few supporters who cheered for me, so I decided to participate in competitions."

Along with this, Chun-gil also confessed about his battle with a rare disease. "I was in a car accident in 2019 and suffered from aftereffects for nearly two years," he began. "After going to various hospitals, I found out at the last hospital that I had a rare disease called ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament. I underwent major surgery on my cervical spine, and as a result of that disease, I currently have a mild disability," he revealed.

Ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament is a condition where the ligaments that support the back of the spine harden like bone. Chun-gil added, "Since the surgery was done on the front of my neck, there could be damage to my vocal cords. In severe cases, it could lead to paralysis, but fortunately, I did not experience paralysis. However, my vocal cords are not at 100% since that surgery."
