Singer G-Dragon will serve as the ambassador for the '2025 Gyeongju Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.'

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok introduced G-Dragon as the APEC summit ambassador on his SNS on the 23rd, posting a photo of the appointment certificate with G-Dragon's name.

Prime Minister Kim stated, "I have good news for the citizens," and announced, "We appoint G-Dragon, a representative artist of South Korea who continuously shows creativity and innovation, including transmitting music into space, as the ambassador for the 2025 Gyeongju APEC Summit."

He added, "Starting today, 100 days before the summit, please watch the synergy between G-Dragon and the APEC summit."

Prime Minister Kim tagged G-Dragon's SNS account in the post and caught attention with the hashtag "Did the appointment certificate arrive well?"

The 2025 APEC Summit will be held for two days from October 31 to November 1 in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Prime Minister Kim is focusing on checking the preparation status, having visited Gyeongju twice since taking office as the chair of the APEC summit preparation committee.

Meanwhile, President Lee Jae-myung ordered Prime Minister Kim during a luncheon meeting on the 7th to ensure that there are no disruptions in hosting APEC, including thorough pre-visit preparations.

On the other hand, G-Dragon will continue his third world tour following a performance in Taipei, Taiwan on the 11th, with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, as well as Las Vegas, Los Angeles in the U.S., and Paris, France.
