BTS member V (Kim Tae-hyung) has lost his beloved dog.
On the 2nd, V posted a lengthy message on his Instagram account saying, “ARMY (the fandom name), I hope you are having a warm end of the year. I’m glad the weather isn’t too cold yet! It feels like it’s been a while since I greeted ARMY with a song.”
He continued, “I have fond memories of preparing for the duet with my favorite (Park) Hyo-shin, and the carol with the great Bing Crosby, which will be released soon. It’s already December this year.”
V then shared, “The reason I’m posting today is that recently, Yeontan has embarked on a long journey to the dog star. I thought a lot about how to share this news, but I felt it was right to inform the ARMY who have given so much love until now.”
He added, “I would appreciate it if ARMY could think of Yeontan once in a while so that he can be happy in the stars. I hope this year-end is warm enough for you to tell your loved ones that you love them once more. I wish for ARMY to always be healthy until the day we meet again. I love you, thank you.”
V shared a photo taken affectionately with his dog, expressing his deep feelings.
V's love for his dog is well-known among fans, as Yeontan even adorned the cover of V's first solo album 'Layover'. Thus, Yeontan received a lot of love from the BTS fandom as well.
V enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier in December last year and is currently serving in the Special Mission Team (SDT) of the Army Military Police Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. He is expected to be discharged in June next year.
