The agency YG Entertainment announced this news on the 12th.
Released on the 11th at 1 PM, the song topped the charts in South America, Europe, and Asia, while ranking 3rd and 4th in the United States and the United Kingdom, respectively. It also reached number one on the 'Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.' This is the first new song from BLACKPINK as a complete group in 2 years and 10 months.
The music video is also generating buzz.
Directed by Dave Meyers, who won the Grammy Award for Best Music Video, it features unique scenes and humorously unfolds the team's narrative, gaining popularity. On its first day of release, the video topped YouTube's 'Trending Music' chart and has surpassed 26 million views.
BLACKPINK is currently on their world tour 'DEADLINE,' which started with a concert at Goyang Sports Complex on the 5th and 6th.
They plan to perform in 16 cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Paris.
