Karina of the group Aespa will take the stage at 'ASEA 2025' today (28th).
On the 28th and 29th at 5:30 PM, the 'Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025' (hereinafter 'ASEA 2025') will be held at the K-Arena in Yokohama, Japan. This year marks the second edition of 'ASEA', which features top stars representing Asia coming together to unite with fans around the world through music.
On the first day of the awards ceremony, the 28th, The Boyz's Juyeon and IVE's Rei will serve as MCs, with Aespa, ENHYPEN, Hatsu to Hatsu, Kiki, NCT Wish, NEX9, NiziU, Now or Never, Timeless, and Xdinary Heroes on the lineup.
In particular, Karina's appearance has drawn attention. On the 27th, Karina posted a photo on her social media wearing a black jumper with the number 2 written in red, which sparked controversy over political color. There were suspicions that Karina had sent a message supporting a specific political party candidate ahead of the presidential election.
In response, Karina stated on the fan communication platform Bubble on the 28th, "I had no such intention at all, but I thought I needed to speak directly because the misunderstanding has grown so much and my (Aespa fandom name) is very worried," adding, "I will be more careful and pay more attention in the future."
Meanwhile, 'ASEA 2025' will be broadcast live on Japan's TBS Channel 1 and the Japanese OTT platform ABEMA. In countries outside of Japan, it can be watched for free on the global fandom community platform 'Dalda (dalda.io)'.
