On the 14th, marking its 30th anniversary, SM Entertainment (hereafter SM) will release a group album titled '2025 SMTOWN: THE CULTURE, THE FUTURE'.
The commemorative album '2025 SMTOWN: THE CULTURE, THE FUTURE' will have all tracks available on various music sites at 6 PM today, and the music video for the new group song and title track 'Thank You' will also be released simultaneously on the SMTOWN YouTube channel.
The title track 'Thank You' is a modern & classic standard pop song featuring 14 SM artists, including KENZIE, who has built a musical legacy with SM as a leading composer, along with Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, aespa, RISE, and NCT WISH. The song expresses gratitude for the precious moments of the past 30 years, the miraculous faith in each other, and the story of unchanging love, delivering a warm emotional impact.
Additionally, the music video for the title track is expected to evoke special memories and emotions, featuring an animated storyline that chronologically showcases the music videos of past SM artists, creating a time-travel-like experience.
Moreover, the new song 'Passion' by Girls' Generation included in this album is a remake of the song released by The Grace in 2006. The lyrics, which candidly express the intense emotions of pure love, combined with Girls' Generation's signature ballad sensibility and the members' beautiful harmonies, leave a deep resonance.
The album also includes a total of 17 tracks, such as 'Game', re-arranged by the original creator Hitchhiker, based on BoA's song of the same name released in 2010; 'View', remixed by Scream Records from SHINee's song of the same name released in 2015; and 'My Name', newly arranged by SM Classics based on BoA's song of the same name released in 2004. This diverse collection allows listeners to enjoy the broad musical spectrum that SM has built over 30 years, and a warm response from global listeners is anticipated.
The commemorative album '2025 SMTOWN: THE CULTURE, THE FUTURE' will also be released in physical format today.
