According to the latest Billboard chart released on the 5th, Rosé's collaboration with pop star Bruno Mars, titled 'APT.', has maintained its position at number 3 on the main singles chart 'Hot 100' for the second week in a row.
Released in October last year, 'APT.' is inspired by the widely known 'Apartment Game' in Korea. It entered the Billboard 'Hot 100' at number 8 right after its release and has since climbed to number 3, setting the record for the highest position ever achieved by a K-pop female artist.
Following Rosé's global success with 'APT.', the other members will also be making their solo debuts in turn.
First, Jisoo will release her new mini-album 'AMORTAGE' on the 14th. The album title 'AMORTAGE' is a combination of the French word for love, 'AMOR', and 'MONTAGE', a film technique that conveys meaning by piecing together various scenes.
Jisoo, who showcased her unique identity with her solo debut song 'FLOWER' released in March 2023, participated in the production of her new songs, promising to reveal an even deeper musical identity.
On March 7, Jennie will return with her first solo studio album 'Ruby'. Jennie, who was the first among BLACKPINK members to debut solo in 2018, has solidified her position as a solo artist with consecutive hits starting from 'SOLO' to 'You & Me' and 'Mantra'.
Her pre-release track 'Love Hangover', which was released on the 31st of last month, has garnered significant attention, ranking 2nd in 'YouTube Trending Videos'. This has heightened curiosity about what charms she will showcase in her first solo studio album filled with 15 tracks.
Lisa will also release her first solo studio album 'ALTER EGO' on the 28th of the same month. Prior to this, she announced the release of her pre-release single 'Born Again', which is said to be a collaboration with pop stars Doja Cat and Rae, drawing the attention of fans worldwide.
In addition to their active solo activities, a full group activity is also expected. Jisoo recently revealed on a YouTube channel, "We are planning to release an album (as BLACKPINK) this year. We are also planning to go on tour. I think we might be able to meet as four this year," exciting fans.
