BTS's J-Hope lit up the night in Paris.

On the 23rd (local time), J-Hope performed on a dazzling stage at the 'Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes' charity event held at La Défense Arena in Paris, France. It is reported that French First Lady Brigitte Macron specially requested J-Hope to take on the opening of this year's event.

The arena was filled with a purple wave from BTS's official light stick, the "ARMY Bomb," and the audience chanted J-Hope's name even before the performance began. Upon his entrance, J-Hope received explosive cheers and greeted the crowd with "What’s up Paris," kicking off the event.

He showcased a total of three songs: 'on the street (solo version)' from his special album 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1,' the double title track 'MORE' from his first solo album 'Jack In The Box,' and BTS's 'MIC Drop.' The performances of 'MORE' and 'MIC Drop' were arranged in orchestral versions, adding grandeur to the show. Additionally, he delivered a powerful and intense performance with dancers, captivating the audience's attention. J-Hope's perfect live vocals and dance were met with a chorus of cheers in Korean from the 35,000 attendees.

The grand finale of the performance was 'MIC Drop.' As the intro played, the atmosphere peaked, and fans shouted their support, completing the stage together. At the end of the song, J-Hope presented a special performance reminiscent of a conductor in sync with the orchestral music.

Through his agency Big Hit Music, J-Hope expressed, "It has been a long time since I greeted the European stage. I was happy to meet you in such a meaningful place. I realized once again how wonderful it is to bring hope and comfort to people through song and dance. I thank the ARMY for their support, and if given the opportunity, I will come back anytime to show you a great performance."

Meanwhile, the 'Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes' charity event is hosted by the 'Opération pièces jaunes' foundation, of which Brigitte Macron serves as chairperson. The performance is conducted in the form of a talent donation to raise funds for hospitalized children and adolescents. The stage presented that day will be broadcast on the French public channel 'France 2' on the 28th.
