The mother of Chinese actor Wu Menglong (Yimenglong) has revealed the cause of her son's death and urged people to refrain from speculation.

On the 16th, Wu Menglong's mother posted on his studio's SNS account, “My beloved son Wu Menglong has passed away after falling from a building following drinking,” and added, “This sudden tragedy has brought deep sorrow to our family.”

She continued, “The police have already investigated the situation and informed us, and all follow-up procedures have been completed,” emphasizing, “I hope you can view this unfortunate incident rationally and refrain from further speculation.”

Following the news of Wu Menglong's death, speculative rumors emerged online suggesting that his close friends were involved in the incident.

Singer and actor Gao Taiyu, facing continuous rumors and negative comments related to this, declared that he was not at the scene and would take legal action.

Wu Menglong fell to his death from a building in Beijing, China, in the early hours of the 11th. He was 37 years old.

According to local reports, Wu Menglong had dinner with several friends at a friend's house the night before, and on the morning of the 11th, he went to his bedroom, locked the door, and rested. When his friends left the house around 6 AM and did not see him, they went downstairs and discovered his body.

Wu Menglong's agency confirmed his death in a statement, stating, “The police investigation found no evidence of criminal activity.”
