SM Entertainment has reached out to former chief producer Lee Soo-man to join the celebration of its 30th anniversary concert.

According to reports from Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today on the 24th, SM Entertainment (hereafter SM) has sent an invitation to former chief producer Lee Soo-man for the 'SM Town Live 2025' concert, which will take place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul next January. While it is not known whether he will accept the invitation, his attendance as the founder on the 30th anniversary of SM would hold significant meaning.

It is reported that SM extended the invitation out of respect and courtesy towards its founder, Lee Soo-man.

In September, Lee Soo-man spoke at the '25th World Knowledge Forum' hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper, expressing his unwavering affection for SM by stating, "I am the founder of SM. Next year marks the 30th anniversary of SM."

Lee Soo-man left SM early last year amid a management dispute. Nevertheless, there is no disagreement that he is the key figure who industrialized K-pop idols, captivating audiences worldwide. If he attends 'SM Town 2025', it will be his first participation in an SM event in about two years, drawing significant attention from the industry.

'SM Town 2025' will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome over two days, January 11-12 next year. Fans will be able to meet online and offline through the global platform Beyond Live and Weverse. The concert will feature a lineup of past and present SM artists, including Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, RISE, and NCT Dream.

Additionally, H.O.T. member Tony An, S.E.S. member Bada, and male duo Fly to the Sky's Hwanhee, who all enjoyed their heyday at SM, are also set to perform.

Meanwhile, former chief producer Lee Soo-man is preparing for his return to the music industry through the newly established entertainment company A2O Entertainment. He has been confirmed to be holding auditions for launching boy and girl groups in the Chinese market as well as in South Korea.
