Kentaro Sakaguchi, a popular Japanese actor embroiled in double dating allegations, has arrived in Busan.
On the 18th, the official Instagram account of the Busan International Film Festival posted a short video with the caption, “Check out a message from the ‘Final Piece’ team on the red carpet of the 30th Busan International Film Festival opening ceremony.”
The released video features the actors and director of ‘Final Piece’ who walked the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival the day before.
Kentaro Sakaguchi greeted everyone in Korean, saying, “Hello,” and expressed, “I feel that the enthusiasm of these amazing fans and the audience who love various works is tremendous, so I’m really looking forward to it from now on.”
He added, “’Final Piece’ is a wonderful work filled with heart-stirring passion. Please look forward to it.”
Previously, the press conference for the film ‘Final Piece,’ in which Kentaro Sakaguchi appeared, was suddenly canceled. While the exact reason for the cancellation has not been disclosed, it is speculated to be a consequence of the recent double dating controversy surrounding Sakaguchi.
Earlier, the Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun reported on the 9th that he has been in a relationship with a non-celebrity stylist who is three years older than him for four years and that they are living together in Tokyo. Additionally, reports of a love triangle involving actor Mei Nagano, who was previously rumored to be having an affair with married actor Kei Tanaka, shocked the Japanese entertainment industry.
After the Shukan Bunshun report, Kentaro Sakaguchi acknowledged the fact of living with the three years older woman but did not clarify his relationship with Mei Nagano. Mei Nagano's agency admitted that she had once dated Sakaguchi but claimed they were unaware of the existence of person A.
Kentaro Sakaguchi, a model-turned-actor, debuted in 2014 with the film ‘Shanti Days: 365 Days of Happy Breathing’ and has been active in both dramas and films. He gained recognition in South Korea by appearing in the Coupang Play drama ‘Things That Come After Love.’
