'The All-Seeing Reader' has firmly secured the weekend box office throne, defeating Marvel superhero films.

According to the integrated computer network of movie ticket sales from the Korean Film Council on the 28th, the film 'The All-Seeing Reader' (hereafter 'The All-Seeing Reader') attracted 161,596 viewers the previous day, bringing its cumulative audience to 627,892.

Based on the novel of the same name, 'The All-Seeing Reader' tells the story of a fantasy action film where the world of the novel becomes reality on the day the long-running novel concludes, and the only reader, Kim Dok-ja, must survive in a destroyed world alongside the protagonist Yoo Joong-hyuk and his companions. The film stars actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Nana, Chae Soo-bin, and Shin Seung-ho.

It surpassed the opening score of 'The Opposition', which recorded the highest audience for a Korean film this year with 104,548 viewers. The break-even point is approximately 6 million viewers.

Most notably, the film's strong response in Taiwan has drawn attention. It surpassed the opening day revenue of the previous record-holder 'The Grave', achieving the highest opening day revenue for a Korean film released in Taiwan since 2021.

'F1 The Movie' (directed by Joseph Kosinski) has climbed back to second place. It attracted 139,788 viewers, with a cumulative audience of 2,393,856.

Released on the 25th of last month, 'F1 The Movie' depicts the story of veteran driver Sonny Hayes, who joins the lowest-ranked team and challenges races alongside a genius rookie driver. The film features actors Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Damson Idris.

In third place is the animated film 'King of Kings' (directed by Jang Seong-ho), which was viewed by 109,066 people on the same day, bringing its cumulative audience to 730,145. The Marvel film 'Fantastic Four: A New Beginning' (directed by Matt Shakman) has dropped to fourth place, gathering 92,352 viewers and a cumulative audience of 342,418.

As of 8:30 AM on that day, the real-time reservation rate leader is 'Zombie Daughter', with a reservation rate of 36.6% and over 217,000 tickets reserved, preparing for a spectacular launch. Following it are 'F1 The Movie' and 'The All-Seeing Reader'.
