Choi Yoon-jin, the former director of the film 'Soju War', who was fired and credited as the on-site director, will hold a press conference.

On the 19th, Choi Yoon-jin announced through a press request that he would hold a press conference, claiming, "The producer disguised the credit adjustment issue as script theft to fire the director!? I will reveal the truth behind the 'abusive dismissal of the director' incident at The Lamp's 'Soju War'."

However, no specific date was mentioned, only that it would be between June 24 and 27. He also stated, "I plan to release a summary video of the incident and related phone call recordings," along with a statement of solidarity from filmmakers opposing the director's dismissal and the removal of the director's credit.

The distributor Showbox stated, "We have nothing to say" regarding this matter.

Previously, the film production company The Lamp dismissed him from the director position over allegations of "script theft of the original screenplay." Choi Yoon-jin's side claimed that the termination of the contract was invalid and filed for a provisional injunction in court, but the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of The Lamp on May 27, dismissing the injunction entirely.

Released on the 30th of last month, 'Soju War' was an anticipated film starring Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Jae-hoon. As Choi and The Lamp continued their legal battle over the credits, the director's position was unusually left vacant at the time of release. Unfortunately, the low pre-sale rates before the release became a reality after the release, resulting in a box office failure.
