Kim Jong-min of the group Koyote revealed his past business failures.
On the 19th, Kim Jong-min appeared as a guest on KBS2’s ‘Problematic Kids in the Rooftop Room’.
On this day, when asked by Song Eun-yi about his side job experiences, Kim Jong-min said, “I did a lot (of side jobs). I also invested a lot.” He continued, “I ran a meat restaurant and an internet cafe. I also invested in a shopping mall.” However, he stated that none of them succeeded.
When Joo Woo-jae said, “Since you have a national celebrity image, I thought people would flock to your business at first,” Kim Jong-min replied, “They only came at first. I thought it would be a big hit, but as time passed…” with a bitter expression.
Regarding the reasons for his business failures, Kim Jong-min said, “I left the store (to someone else). I had to focus on broadcasting.” To this, Hong Jin-kyung advised, “Then you shouldn’t do it.”
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook mentioned, “They say that stocks go negative as soon as you touch them,” referring to Kim Jong-min's lack of talent not only in business but also in stocks.
When Yang Se-chan asked, “Are you doing it based on someone else's advice or your own information?” Kim Jong-min replied, “I do it by watching YouTube.” To this, Joo Woo-jae remarked, “That’s typically a style that loses money.”
Kim Jong-min talked about financial matters after marriage, saying, “My wife and I are looking at it together. I disclosed all my appearance fees.” He added, “Whenever I want to invest, I have to consult with her. But she usually tells me not to,” he laughed.
Song Eun-yi asked, “So you consult together but the conclusion is not to do it?” Hong Jin-kyung commented, “For someone who has been through so much, you’re quite bright. It’s nice to see you smiling and cheerful,” which brought laughter.
