Actor Lee Sang-hee is making her first foray into the theater stage in 15 years since her debut with the play 'The Effect.'

Opening in June with the world's first 'gender-bending' casting, 'The Effect' tells a story of 'love and sorrow' featuring four characters: 'Connie' and 'Tristan,' who participate in a clinical trial for antidepressants, and the doctors overseeing the trial, 'Dr. Lorna James' and 'Toby Silly.' Through the setting of a drug trial, the play explores the essence of human emotions while questioning what choices we make in the face of such chaotic feelings.

Lee Sang-hee will portray 'Dr. Lorna James,' who leads the experiment. As an actress who has seamlessly transitioned between screen and television, there is much anticipation for what new aspects she will showcase on her first theater stage.

Lee Sang-hee has established herself as a reliable actress, showcasing a wide range of characters across genres in dramas such as 'Unlock My Boss,' 'Morning Comes to Psychiatric Ward,' 'My Perfect Secretary,' 'The Recruit' Season 2, and films like 'A Very Long Way,' 'Decibel,' and 'Rogue One.'

In particular, she made a strong impression as 'Seon-joo,' a character of Korean-Chinese descent in the film 'Rogue One,' earning her the Best Supporting Actress award at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards. In the drama 'My Perfect Secretary,' she added vibrancy to the story with her detailed expressiveness, while in 'The Recruit' Season 2, her compelling emotional performance captivated viewers worldwide.

With her unique delicate emotional lines and profound acting skills that enhance immersion in each work, all eyes are on how Lee Sang-hee will shine in the upcoming play 'The Effect.'

Meanwhile, 'The Effect,' the highly anticipated play featuring Lee Sang-hee, will be performed at Interpark Seogyeong Square Scon Hall 2 from June 10 to August 31. The preview and first ticket sales will take place on the 30th through NOL Ticket (formerly Interpark Ticket) and YES24 Ticket.
