Mark Ruffalo shared his thoughts on taking on his first villain role in 'Mickey17'.
On the morning of the 20th, a press conference for the film 'Mickey17' was held at Megabox COEX in Seoul. Director Bong Joon-ho, producer Choi Doo-ho, and actors Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, and Mark Ruffalo attended.
Mark Ruffalo said, "It's amazing. When I received the offer to participate, I wondered if it was really meant for me, so I carefully read the script."
He continued, "I'm grateful. I thank the director for believing in me when I was doubting myself. Naturally, I can't be satisfied with my performance. I often think that I could have done better and that I'm always a work in progress."
Ruffalo also mentioned, "In the end, I am satisfied with the result of the film. But I am also scared because this is my first attempt at something like this. I haven't read the reviews yet, so I don't know the reactions, but I think it's important to act in line with the film's intent."
'Mickey17' depicts the unpredictable story of Mickey, a disposable (expendable) character sent on dangerous missions, who faces his 17th death crisis when 'Mickey 18' is printed, believing that he has died. The film will be released in South Korea on the 28th.
