‘Firefighter’ has surpassed 1 million viewers on its 8th day of release.
According to the integrated ticketing system on the 11th, the film ‘Firefighter’ surpassed 1 million viewers at around 6:37 PM.
This pace of success is even faster than ‘Escape’, which surpassed 1 million viewers in 10 days, making it significant as one of the top 5 Korean films of 2024.
‘Firefighter’ is conducting the ‘119 Won Donation Challenge’, where 119 won from each ticket sold is donated in cash to the National Fire Hospital, scheduled to open in 2025. With the first goal of surpassing 1 million viewers achieved, the target amount of 119 million won has been reached on the 8th day of release.
Since its release, ‘Firefighter’ has maintained the number one spot at the Korean box office for 8 consecutive days, depicting the situation of firefighters who were deployed with the sole goal of extinguishing the fire and rescuing everyone, despite the poor conditions during the Hongje-dong fire disaster in 2001.
