Singer Kim Heung-guk, who has shown political activities, is returning to his main profession.

On the 20th, Kim Heung-guk announced his return as an entertainer through Daebak Planning, stating, “From now on, I will stand by the people solely with singing and entertainment.”

He said, “I will now put down political discussions and will laugh and sing with the people on stage,” adding, “Politics was not my path. I am happiest when I can give people laughter and sing together. That is the real Kim Heung-guk.”

Regarding this decision, Kim Heung-guk emphasized his will to return to his original intention as a singer, saying, “I want to sing on stage again. I will sincerely approach the people through entertainment and music, not politics.”

Kim Heung-guk is currently preparing a new song. He plans to release a new music project that combines the lively energy of his representative song ‘Tiger Butterfly’ with a modern sensibility by the end of this year.

He expressed, “Singing on stage and smiling in front of the camera is my life. Now, I want to laugh with the people online as well,” revealing his plans to run a personal YouTube channel.

Through this channel, he aims to showcase his daily life, behind-the-scenes of performances, and entertaining content, continuing genuine communication with the public.

Kim Heung-guk stated, “If I can bring laughter and hope back to the people, that will be the beginning of the second act of my life,” expressing his desire to once again become the ‘Tiger Butterfly’ of the nation.

Kim Heung-guk has previously shown conservative political tendencies. He publicly supported former President Yoon Suk-yeol and attended conservative rallies, causing controversy with his political statements. During the last presidential election, he assisted in Yoon's campaign and expressed dissatisfaction when Yoon was impeached, saying, “It is something that cannot happen.”

He also engaged in political activities by joining the campaign of Na Kyung-won, a candidate in the People Power Party's presidential primary.
