Hwasa from Mamamoo revealed the reason for her short hair transformation.
On the 16th, a video featuring 2PM's Jang Wooyoung and Mamamoo's Hwasa as guests was released on the YouTube channel 'Tteun Tteun' web entertainment show 'Pinggaego'.
Jang Wooyoung complimented Hwasa, saying, "The short hair suits you well." To this, Hwasa replied, "It's been a few years. About 4 years?"
Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Did you change it to match the song concept?" and Hwasa explained, "Yes. And it was really suffocating. I had long hair for too long, and I wanted to cut it all off. Originally, I wanted to cut it like Wooyoung sunbaenim, but my hair stylist strongly advised against it. They said absolutely not."
In response, Jang Wooyoung said, "If you change too suddenly, it might look awkward to people," and Hwasa candidly shared, "More than that, my stylist said it would be difficult to style."
Yoo Jae-suk added, "While it's important whether it suits Hwasa or not, it might be more significant that it's hard for her to style it herself." Hearing this, Jang Wooyoung agreed, saying, "Actually, men's hairstyles depend entirely on styling."
Hwasa mentioned to Yoo Jae-suk, "It seems like you always stick to the perilla leaf hairstyle," to which Yoo Jae-suk joked, "Hwasa isn't trying to damage me, but it comes in quietly.
