Actress Lee Min-jung has directly addressed the rumors about her being a "silver spoon."

On the 9th, a video titled "From Lee Min-jung's Silver Spoon Rumor to Flower Boy Casting. I Will Tell You Everything: Lee Min-jung's Life Explanation" was posted on Lee Min-jung's YouTube channel 'Lee Min-jung MJ.'

In the video, Lee Min-jung took time to reflect on her life alongside fellow actors Lee So-yeon and Wang Bit-na.

Lee Min-jung, who experienced casting by a major agency while still in high school, revealed, "My dad wanted me to make the decision when I became an adult," explaining why she did not debut at a young age.

Her father, who has worked in the advertising industry for over 15 years, consistently opposed her pursuing a career in entertainment, saying, "Being a celebrity is a problem whether you succeed or fail."

The topic of the "silver spoon" rumor also came up. Lee Min-jung coolly acknowledged, "It's true that my grandfather or uncle received presidential awards in the art field and that my uncle was a KAIST professor who conducted research at the Antarctic base."

However, she stated that it is difficult to call her family "silver spoon" economically, saying, "It wasn't always abundant. My father went through tough times, and from then on, I thought I needed to earn money. I often had the mindset of wanting to fill the voids that came in life."

She added, "If you consider that my mom and dad provided me with a good education and allowed me to do what I wanted without lacking, then I could be seen as a silver spoon. However, life itself was not always plentiful. We were not a family that could spend extravagantly."

When Lee So-yeon and Wang Bit-na expressed their surprise that she paid her own tuition and worked part-time jobs since college, Lee Min-jung responded, "I like the saying that you should experience hardship while you are young. Those few years when my dad struggled became my greatest nourishment."

Lee Min-jung, who stepped into the entertainment industry in 1998, gained recognition for her role as Ha Jae-kyung in KBS2's 'Boys Over Flowers.' She has since appeared in dramas such as 'You, Smile,' 'All About My Romance,' and 'Once Again.'

Lee Min-jung married actor Lee Byung-hun in 2013 and has one son and one daughter.
