Pop star Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has revealed details about their past marriage.
According to entertainment media People and others on the 14th, Federline claims in his upcoming memoir 'You Thought You Knew', set to be released on the 21st, that Spears once stood with a weapon while watching their two sons sleep.
Federline recalled, “Sometimes when the boys woke up in the middle of the night, they found their mom (Spears) standing silently by the door watching them.” He added, “Spears would say, ‘Did you wake up?’ while holding a knife in one hand. Then she would turn around and disappear without any explanation.”
He continued, “It seems that the situation with Spears is heading towards an irretrievable point. It has become impossible to pretend that everything is okay now,” and added, “If the situation doesn’t change, something bad will happen. I’m afraid our sons will bear the brunt of it.”
In response, Spears' side stated, “Federline is once again making money off her name. Unfortunately, this has happened after Federline's child support payments ended,” and added, “Spears has previously detailed her experiences in her own memoir.”
Spears and Federline married in 2004 but divorced in 2007. The two fought over custody of their two sons during the divorce process, and custody was ultimately awarded to Federline. Spears is reported to have paid $20,000 a month in child support.
