Actress Uhm Jung-hwa is expected to star as the lead in the new drama 'My Precious Star'.
According to her agency, Alien Company, on the 14th, Uhm Jung-hwa has received an offer to appear in this drama.
Uhm Jung-hwa is set to play the role of 'Im Se-ra', a top star who rises to fame immediately after her debut and wins the Best Actress award at the youngest age.
The drama 'My Precious Star' deals with the story of South Korea's top star Im Se-ra, who suddenly experiences an accident and begins to live a completely different life. It is a collaboration once again between director Choi Young-hoon of 'Good Casting' and writer Park Ji-ha.
The role of the male lead, a bachelor detective, is reportedly being considered for actor Song Seung-heon, raising interest in a potential reunion after 10 years since the 2015 film 'Miss Wife'.
Uhm Jung-hwa has recently experienced a resurgence in her career with the simultaneous success of the JTBC drama 'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook' and the tvN variety show 'Dance Singer Wandering Troupe' in 2023.
