Hwang Hana (37), the granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy Products, who has been issued an Interpol red notice, is reportedly staying in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, according to various online communities.

On the 15th, various online communities posted articles claiming that Hwang Hana is living in hiding in Cambodia, where there have been a series of kidnapping and confinement incidents targeting Koreans.

Previously, in June, the Sunday Journal reported that Hwang Hana, who is wanted by Interpol on drug charges, had moved from Thailand to Cambodia.

According to reports, it has also been said that Hwang Hana is staying in Cambodia with a member of the Thai upper class.

Hwang Hana became known to the public as the fiancée of singer and actor Park Yoo-chun.

They promised to marry in 2017, but their engagement was called off due to allegations of Hwang Hana's drug use, and Park Yoo-chun was later arrested on drug charges as well.

After being sentenced to probation for drug use in 2019, Hwang Hana was later sentenced to prison for using drugs again and has been in hiding since fleeing to Thailand in 2023.

Cambodia, where Hwang Hana is reportedly residing, has recently gained attention as a new hotspot for cyber crimes such as illegal gambling, leading scams, and kidnapping and confinement.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the number of reported kidnappings of Koreans has significantly increased from 10-20 cases annually between 2022 and 2023 to 220 cases last year and 330 cases by August of this year.
