Broadcaster Hong Hyun-hee and her husband Jay Seon shared their thoughts on the first filming of 'Openly Living in Two Houses'.
The new JTBC entertainment program 'Openly Living in Two Houses' (directed by Jung Dong-hyun, written by Noh Min-sun) will premiere on October 21 at 8:50 PM. The show features celebrity couples setting up 'two households' in a quiet rural village and living together 'openly'. The first episode will feature the couple Hong Hyun-hee & Jay Seon, Jang Yoon-jung & Do Kyung-wan, and Jang Dong-min.
First, Hong Hyun-hee said, "It was interesting to be in a variety show with other couples after a long time. It was a fresh and touching experience in our 8th year of marriage," sparking curiosity about their life in two households conducted in Yeosu's Baekya-do.
Jay Seon mentioned, "In these days when provocative content is pouring out, we participated in a couple's variety show where we could comfortably heal," and added, "There were many moments that made us laugh and sometimes cry as we realized the importance of each other while observing the different attitudes towards 'marriage'."
When asked about 'jealousy' and 'comparison' with the neighboring couple, Hong Hyun-hee replied, "Rather than jealousy or comparison, watching from a distance made me see Jay Seon's strengths and charms that I had overlooked," and expressed her affection for Jay Seon by saying, "It was a time to reaffirm the parts that my husband quietly took care of that I couldn't."
Jay Seon responded, "While we are quite generous about comparison and jealousy, there were moments that made us rethink our roles as husbands and wives while observing the mindset of the other couple."
Finally, regarding the program's viewing points, Hong Hyun-hee said, "Viewers might laugh and think, 'Our house is like that too,' and it will make them reflect on each other," hinting at fun and warmth for prospective viewers. Jay Seon expressed his ambition, saying, "I will show a perfect synergy with my wife Hong Hyun-hee's wit and my empathy," raising expectations.
