MBN is undergoing a complete reform of its news division to mark its 30th anniversary.

On the 24th, MBN announced, "Starting from April 1, we will replace the anchors of some news programs, including the main news 'News 7'. This reform is intended to create 'better news' based on the motto of fairness and trust in MBN news."

Choi Joong-rak and Yoo Ho-jung, who have led weekday main news for the past 10 years, have been selected as successors to anchor Kim Joo-ha. The two reporters, who have been actively reporting on the ground, will make their debut as anchors on 'News 7'. The revamped 'News 7' will not only expand analytical articles with on-site reporting and in-depth commentary but will also cover the latest news from various fields, including politics, economy, and society, both domestically and internationally.

Choi Joong-rak, who will take on the main news for the second time since 2012, joined MBN as a reporter in 1999 and has showcased a smooth yet sharp perspective as an anchor on various news programs such as 'News 2' and 'Issue & Field Anchor'.

Yoo Ho-jung, who will be responsible for 'News 7' alongside Choi Joong-rak, joined MBN in 2017 and has been recognized for her clean hosting skills after working in the social and political departments and appearing on various news programs. In 2023, she hosted MBN's 'Pandora' solo, impressing viewers with her stable hosting amidst the tension between senior lawmakers from both parties.

The weekend 'News Center', which marks the end of the week and the beginning of a new one, will see reporters Kang Young-ho and announcer Jung Ah-young newly assigned.

In addition, 'Good Morning MBN' (7 AM), which welcomes viewers to a lively morning, will be hosted by reporter Lee Jang-hyun and announcer Ko Sun-young, while 'Morning & Daily Economy' (8 AM) will continue to be hosted by Kim Eun-mi without changes. 'Press Room LIVE' (10:30 AM), which deeply analyzes issues in various fields including politics, economy, culture, entertainment, and sports, will be co-hosted by announcer Yoo Han-sol and reporter Choi Yoon-young.

In the afternoon, noticeable changes in the anchor lineup and scheduling will also occur. MBN's 'News Wide', which diagnoses current issues with sharp questions and interpretations, will change its time slot from 5:20 PM to 4 PM on weekdays. The new host, reporter Han Sung-won, will provide a balanced perspective on the sharply divided current political situation.

'Kim Myung-jun's News Fighter', hosted by anchor Kim Myung-jun, who is known for his fiery hosting style as the 'Angry Anchor', will air at 5:50 PM following 'News Wide'. The program will focus on analyzing the issues that have heated up the internet that day and will criticize the injustices in our society with a stronger voice.

MBN stated, "We are committed to creating 'Better News' for our 30th anniversary slogan 'Make A Better Next'. We will meet viewers with a more fair and trusted news program alongside the new anchors."
