Actor Joo Ji-hoon won the Best Actor award for his role in 'Trauma Center.'
On the afternoon of the 2nd, the 'Seoul Drama Awards 2025' was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido. The ceremony was hosted by Jang Do-yeon and Ok Taec-yeon, and was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the Seoul Drama Awards.
Joo Ji-hoon received the Best Actor award for his performance in the Netflix series 'Trauma Center.' He stated, "First and foremost, I want to thank the audience," adding, "We worked hard to make it enjoyable in any way possible. Thank you for watching the series with interest."
He continued, "I often forget because I get nervous, but I would like to express my deep gratitude to the teachers at the Trauma Center who are currently saving lives with great dedication."
He went on to say, "Creating a drama and turning 2D into 3D is more challenging than expected. We have to make the impossible possible. I want to acknowledge the entire staff and my comrades who have done their part excellently. The drama contains a lot of genre-specific action, thrill, and wit, as well as realism and a genuine desire to save patients. We made an effort to blend many genres together."
Joo Ji-hoon expressed his gratitude to director Lee Do-yoon, who carried the burden alone under adverse conditions, saying, "Thank you for being the captain who navigated through all of that," while director Lee Do-yoon, sitting in the audience, showed his support with a thumbs up.
Meanwhile, the 'Seoul Drama Awards' is an international drama festival that awards winners based on evaluations of dramas from around the world. This year, winners were selected from a total of 276 entries and 409 participants from 50 countries worldwide.
