Actor Kim Seung-woo made his first appearance after the controversy surrounding the request to discard the recording of JTBC's 'One Meal a Day'.
On the 15th, a video titled “Seoul's Top 3 Tteokbokki | Tteokbokki Lover Kim Nam-joo's Fan Tour (feat. Kim Seung-woo)” was uploaded to Kim Nam-joo's YouTube channel.
In the video, Kim Nam-joo introduced her favorite tteokbokki restaurant. Visiting a tteokbokki place in Apgujeong-dong, Kim Nam-joo said, “My manager brought it to me at first, and it was so delicious that I became a regular,” and added, “My husband likes it here. He should be nearby,” as she called Kim Seung-woo.
Kim Nam-joo asked Kim Seung-woo on the phone, “Don’t you like it here? Can’t you come right away?” to which Kim Seung-woo replied, “I’ll go right away,” saying, “I was just feeling a bit hungry.” Kim Nam-joo sweetly urged, “Hurry up, let’s eat together.”
Kim Seung-woo appeared at the restaurant just two minutes after hanging up, dressed casually.
Kim Seung-woo mentioned, “We’ve made this place famous. The owner said so. We promoted it a lot,” and added, “I’ve ordered from here more than a hundred times. Even before delivery apps existed, I often came here in the early morning,” confirming his regular status.
On the 3rd, Kim Seung-woo was at the center of controversy due to a request to discard the recording of JTBC's 'One Meal a Day'. It was reported that Kim Seung-woo unexpectedly met the filming team and filmed at home, but suddenly requested the footage to be discarded.
In response, Kim Seung-woo's agency, The Queen AMC, stated, “Kim Seung-woo was alone at home when the 'One Meal a Day' filming team arrived. He was happy to see them and filmed for about 30 to 40 minutes spontaneously.”
They continued, “At that time, Kim Seung-woo was under the influence of alcohol. The management found out later and thought it would not be appropriate for him to appear on the show,” explaining, “Filming a variety show while under the influence of alcohol is not acceptable. Kim Seung-woo realized this and asked the production team for understanding, suggesting that he fail the mission.”
Kim Seung-woo and Kim Nam-joo got married in 2005 and have a daughter and a son.
