Big Whale Entertainment has changed its name to Big Friends and officially announced its business expansion.

On the 10th, Big Friends stated, "This name change is due to the merger of the pet-specialized lifestyle company 'Big Friends' (CEO Jo Han-sun) and the management company 'Big Whale Entertainment' (CEO Lim Jeong-bae), and we aim to leap forward as a leading company in a new field by combining entertainment and the pet industry."

The former Big Whale Entertainment has made a name for itself in the artist management sector, representing talented actors such as Jung Man-sik, Kim Byeong-chun, Hong Ye-ji, Park Se-hyun, Seo Jae-woo, and Woo Jeong-guk, establishing a foothold in the entertainment industry.

Big Friends targets the 15 million pet owners known as 'Pet Family' and is creating a new trend in the pet content market by introducing the world's first dog-exclusive broadcasting channel 'DOGTV' in the country.

On October 19, they are planning various festivals to establish themselves as an essential brand for pet families under the motto of "happiness" for pet owners and their pets, and will hold the 2nd Yangju City Pet Culture Festival 'By Meongnyang Market'.

Additionally, this merger and business expansion has been significantly influenced by the acquisition of the KOSDAQ-listed company Sold Defense, which will showcase new convergence businesses and various synergies by combining the growth potential of the pet market with the influence of entertainment content.
