Comedian Jo Hye-ryeon expressed her heartfelt feelings while sharing the recent situation of Park Mi-sun, who has suspended her activities due to health reasons.
On the 9th, a video titled ‘Do you think those two will live well? New Woman EP.05 Wrong Meeting’ was posted on ‘Rolling Thunder’.
In the video, Jo Hye-ryeon said, “Yesterday, there was a theater preview called ‘Star of Seoul’. (Lee) Kyung-sil, (Kim) Hyo-jin, (Kim) Ji-sun all came, and Im Ha-ryong also came. Im Ha-ryong also does YouTube, right? The host Nam Hyun-seung next to him said, ‘New Woman is really fun’,” starting off on a pleasant note.
Lee Kyung-sil also shared, “People around me say ‘New Woman’ is really fun. Especially women in their 30s find it very entertaining. There’s a friend who always greets me. Usually, we just say ‘Hello’, but after watching up to episode 2, they smiled and reached out their hand as soon as they saw me,” conveying the enthusiastic response.
Jo Hye-ryeon mentioned, “In the past, when the two of us were together, there were many negative comments. It’s not even a project, but all the comments are good, especially about Kyung-sil. I talked to Mi-sun yesterday, and she seems to have watched ‘New Woman’,” referring to Park Mi-sun.
She continued, “These days, she has a lot of time. Mi-sun told me, ‘Kyung-sil has changed’. She said that while she used to be a bit harsh, now her tone and talk are more fun, and she expressed it as if she encompasses something,” she reported.
Lee Kyung-sil clarified, “In the past, we had a harsh concept,” and Jo Hye-ryeon added, “There was a scene where Kyung-sil was lying down like a fish and laughing, and Mi-sun said that was really funny. We need to give Mi-sun a lot of energy, and that was a good thing.”
In fact, it was revealed that Park Mi-sun was also scheduled to appear in ‘New Woman’ along with Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryeon. Jo Hye-ryeon informed Lee Sun-min, who took Park Mi-sun's place, saying, “You’ve taken her spot now,” to which Lee Sun-min apologized, “I’m sorry, Mi-sun sunbaenim,” and Lee Kyung-sil joked, “No, if Mi-sun comes out, you can go out,” bringing laughter.
Park Mi-sun suspended all broadcasting and YouTube activities due to health issues last January. She was later embroiled in rumors of battling breast cancer, but her agency took a cautious stance, stating, “It is difficult to confirm accurately due to personal medical information, but she is taking a break for health reasons.”
