Kim Ji-hye, former member of the group Cats, gave birth to twins via emergency cesarean section.
On the 8th, Kim Ji-hye's husband, Choi Seong-wook, posted on his wife's SNS, saying, “Hello, this is husband Bam-seobang. Ji-hye is still unable to use SNS, so I’m greeting you on her behalf.”
He then shared, “The delivery went smoothly, and the babies are in the neonatal intensive care unit, so we cannot show their faces yet,” announcing the news of the twin birth.
He continued, “After giving birth, my wife had slightly elevated blood pressure and mild symptoms of pregnancy-induced hypertension, but she is enduring well and recovering, so please don’t worry too much. I will greet you with a healthier appearance,” and expressed his gratitude to those who supported their delivery.
Earlier, Choi Seong-wook had revealed on the 8th, “Around 3:30 AM today, my wife’s water broke and she started bleeding, so we rushed to the emergency room, but the delivery was already well underway, so they seemed to be performing an emergency cesarean immediately.”
He added, “I want to be by her side, but I feel so helpless not being able to do anything. I just hope that both my wife and the children are healthy.”
Kim Ji-hye married Choi Seong-wook in 2019. The couple overcame infertility and successfully conceived twins through in vitro fertilization in February, six years after their marriage.
