Singer Kim Jong-kook revealed the reason for purchasing a '6.2 billion won newlywed house' entirely in cash.

On the 23rd, a video titled "'Final Boss' Kim Jong-kook & 'Weakest Link' Fromis_9 Park Ji-won (feat. Wrestling 3 Types)" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Kangsyan'.

On that day, while greeting Lee Si-an, Kim Jong-kook shyly responded to the comment, "You have become a 6.2 billion won property owner," saying, "I'm not a property owner; I bought a house. It's definitely not an investment, but for actual residence."

Regarding the reason for the all-cash purchase, he answered, "I don't want to pay interest," adding, "There's nothing to be envious of. I didn't have any financial technology," and explained, "I have no luck with what people call 'found money,' so I've been working and saving."

He also added, "I don't recommend doing it like me. I suggest everyone invest wisely."

In April, Kim Jong-kook purchased a luxury villa 'Nonhyeon Apelbaum 2nd' in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with a dedicated area of 243㎡. The transaction price reached 6.2 billion won. It is estimated to be an all-cash purchase as there is no mortgage established.

Nonhyeon Apelbaum consists of a total of 76 units when combining the 1st and 2nd phases, featuring a five-layer outer wall and 180 closed-circuit (CC) TVs, making it a popular complex among celebrities.

The complex includes hotel-level community facilities such as fitness facilities, a cinema, a banquet hall, a large laundry room, and individual storage rooms. It is known that actors Jang Geun-suk and Lee Yo-won reside there.

On the 18th, Kim Jong-kook personally announced his marriage through a handwritten letter on his official fan cafe.

He expressed his feelings about getting married later in life, saying, "It's quite late, but I'm glad to be going this way," and added, "I will strive to live well."
