Actor Kim Ji-hoon has captured the attention of viewers worldwide through ‘Butterfly’.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the Amazon Prime Video series ‘Butterfly’ tells the story of David Jung (played by Daniel Dae Kim), a former U.S. intelligence agent whose life falls apart due to a choice he makes, and Rebecca (played by Reina Hardisty), a current agent who is ordered to kill him while being entangled in his past.

This work, set against the backdrop of Korea, has garnered much anticipation as an American drama, and the performances of Korean actors are also receiving significant attention.

Among them, Kim Ji-hoon made a striking debut as the cold and competent killer ‘Gun’ in ‘Butterfly’, which aired on tvN on the 23rd. He left a deadly impression on viewers with a scene where he disguises himself as a repairman, assassinates his target, and casually eats a snack afterward.

Later, Gun learns from Juno (played by Piper Perabo) that David is still alive, which shocks him. His expression changes intriguingly as he is assigned the mission to eliminate David, and with the line, “I always enjoy a challenge,” he skillfully manipulates the atmosphere of the scene. Kim Ji-hoon not only showcased fluent English acting but also exuded a solid presence with his cold expressions and restrained emotions.

In a tense scene towards the end of the second episode, Gun engages in a fierce struggle with David at a subway station, capturing the viewers' attention. He charges at David without hesitation, and Kim Ji-hoon’s high-intensity action delivers intense suspense. With agile movements and high-quality action, he perfectly conveys the weight of the character, raising curiosity about the connection between Gun and David.
