In the era of a flood of dating shows, a new concept program has emerged that observes the romantic interests of celebrity children. The dads’ over-the-top reactions added freshness and a delightful sense of fun.
The new reality dating show ‘My Child’s Romance’, co-produced by tvN STORY and T-Cast E Channel, which premiered on the 20th, captures the parents' feelings as they observe their children dating, as well as the stories of children growing through their romantic experiences.
In the first episode, the sons of renowned director Ahn Yoo-sung, actor Park Ho-san, and Lee Jong-hyuk, along with the daughter of broadcaster Kim Dae-hee, actor Lee Cheol-min, and former basketball player Jeon Hee-cheol, were depicted meeting for the first time at a training camp.
The most familiar face to viewers was Lee Jong-hyuk's son, Tak-soo. He had already showcased his handsome looks during his childhood appearance on MBC’s ‘Dad! Where Are We Going?’, and now he has returned as a college student majoring in theater and film after completing his military service.
Upon Tak-soo's appearance, the dads exclaimed, “He’s handsome,” and MC Kim Sung-joo, who had been with him on ‘Dad! Where Are We Going?’, expressed joy, saying, “He still has that old face.”
Following that, Kim Dae-hee's daughter Sa-yoon, Ahn Yoo-sung's son Seon-jun, Lee Cheol-min's daughter Shin-hyang, Park Ho-san's son Jun-ho, and Jeon Hee-cheol's daughter Su-wan entered one by one to greet each other. In the middle of the broadcast, a ‘handsome guy’ appeared, causing a stir in both the training camp and the studio. The identity of the ‘handsome guy’ was revealed to be Lee Jong-won’s son Seon-jun, who is currently preparing to become a flight attendant.
Lee Sung-jun, resembling his father, who was known as the ‘original flower boy actor’, showcased his stunning looks and tall stature, creating an overwhelming presence. Tak-soo, who had garnered the most affection from the daughters until the appearance of the ‘handsome guy’, showed signs of anxiety and tension.
Towards the end of the broadcast, Tak-soo expressed that the appearance of the ‘handsome girl’ was “the most bewildering moment” for him.
The ‘handsome girl’ is expected to be Hong Seok-joo, the daughter of Jo Gap-kyung, raising curiosity about what observations will unfold between the two.
