Syu, a former member of the group S.E.S., made a controversial remark to her husband asking, "Don't you have a girlfriend?" and later deleted that part.

On the 15th, a video titled 'Syu has returned (Why did she come back after 8 years?)' was released on Syu's YouTube channel.

In the video, Syu was seen sitting next to her husband Lim Hyo-seong discussing their married life.

On that day, Lim Hyo-seong said, "It's been 4 years of married life," and Syu responded, "We've been friends for 11 years. He's a man," adding, "Since I think of him as a friend, we hardly fight." To this, Lim Hyo-seong retorted, "I try not to fight. Even if you keep pushing."

Syu then asked Lim Hyo-seong, "These days, don't you have a decent girlfriend?" to which Lim Hyo-seong reacted in disbelief, saying, "Are you crazy? Are you psycho?" However, Syu joked, "How great would that be? In an American style."

Syu and Lim Hyo-seong got married in April 2010 and have three children, one son and two daughters. However, there have been rumors of divorce and discord alongside Syu's gambling controversy.

Lim Hyo-seong confessed that he paid off Syu's gambling debts during her illegal gambling controversy, saying, "They said the debt was 250 million won. I thought about it for a day and the next day I borrowed money from friends and gathered my savings to give her 280 million won right away."

While trying to clarify the divorce and discord rumors and seeking a comeback, Syu's remark about a "girlfriend" sparked controversy again.

Netizens criticized her, saying, "Isn't that crossing the line?", "Can you really say that to your husband?", "Why is she saying that after he paid off her debts?", "This is something that should be said carefully," etc. As the controversy grew, that part was deleted.
