National MC Lim Seong-hoon (71) will appear on a talk show for the first time in 50 years since his debut.
In the preview released on the 7th for tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block', it was announced that "Legend of MCs Lim Seong-hoon, making his first talk show appearance after debut!"
On that day, Yoo Jae-suk said to Lim Seong-hoon, "This is the first time I've seen the real close friend of singer Jo Yong-pil." To this, Lim Seong-hoon shared an episode, saying, "When we recorded 'Gayo Top 10', we met once a week (with Jo Yong-pil) and always played billiards afterward."
Lim Seong-hoon expressed his feelings about appearing on 'You Quiz', saying, "I've been in broadcasting for 50 years, but this is my first talk show." He added, "The program 'Moment of Truth' that I hosted with Park So-hyun for 26 years has even been listed in the Guinness Book of Records."
However, the long-running program recently went on a break, leading him to naturally step down from the MC position. He recalled the situation at that time, saying, "Tomorrow was the recording for 'Moment of Truth', but I suddenly got a call. I heard about my mother's passing during the day," and with the words, "Now it's my turn... yes, now..." he ultimately teared up.
Lim Seong-hoon debuted as a singer in 1970 and began his career as a comedian in 1974. He then served as the MC for KBS2's 'Gayo Top 10' for 10 years, and since 1998, he has been meeting viewers for a long time through SBS's 'Moment of Truth'.
'You Quiz on the Block' will air on the 13th at 8:45 PM.
