Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung has divorced.
On the 6th, a representative from her agency, TN Entertainment, confirmed to Maeil Business Newspaper's Star Today, "It is true that Hong Jin-kyung has divorced," adding, "This is not a recent event; it has been a while since the divorce. After some time, she informed the agency, saying, 'I wanted to live differently. We parted amicably.'
According to the agency, Hong Jin-kyung is currently on a business trip abroad, and details regarding her divorce will be revealed through Jeon Seon-hee's YouTube channel, which will be uploaded today.
Hong Jin-kyung married her husband, a businessman five years her senior, in 2003. They welcomed their daughter, Kim Ra-el, in 2010.
Regarding the divorce process, entertainment media Dispatch reported that their daughter Ra-el also respects the couple's decision to divorce. It was particularly noted that the two are still in contact with their respective in-laws.
Hong Jin-kyung debuted as a supermodel in 1993 and is also well-known as a kimchi entrepreneur beyond her career as an entertainer. She is currently running a YouTube channel called 'Gongbubang Jjin Genius.'
