Comedian Lee Sung-mi confessed about her difficult childhood while also sharing her honest thoughts on death.

On the 5th, a video titled 'Wise Moms Prepare Like This! Final Preparations for Those in Their 50s and 70s' was posted on Lee Sung-mi's YouTube channel 'Lee Sung-mi's I'm a Kkondae'.

In this video, Lee Sung-mi met with Professor Lee Jeong-seon from the Funeral Industry Department at Eulji University to discuss stories and information related to 'final preparations'.

Lee Sung-mi began by saying, "My life really fell into despair when my mother passed away in the 6th grade. My father failed in business, so I had no one to talk to," adding, "I was the only daughter."

She continued, "These days, people only have one or two children. Doesn't that make them lonely? Looking back now, it felt like I was 'begging for life.' I lived a drifter's life, moving from relatives' homes to my mother's friends' houses, boarding houses, and the countryside, and I was a very depressed child."

Professor Lee introduced various systems and institutions for children left alone, both domestically and internationally. Lee Sung-mi expressed regret, saying, "If only these things had been available in our time..."

She also mentioned that she is making various preparations for death.

She stated, "I think it's important to prepare things like portraits, columbariums, and burial clothes in advance, considering the people left behind." She revealed, "I take portraits every three years. When seniors passed away, there were photos from their 20s, and sometimes we couldn't find a recent photo, so there were younger pictures. Looking at that didn't feel right. So I thought I should take photos every three years."

She added humorously, "I prepared a columbarium for my husband and myself in Eden Paradise. We use separate rooms, but in death, we will be together. When I tried to live separately, the prices were a bit different. Plus, since we have to buy something cheaper, we decided to be in the same room, even in death."
