The animated film 'Letter from Yeon', which has garnered attention for AKMU's Lee Su-hyun's voice acting challenge based on a popular Naver webtoon, will be released on October 1.
The story follows a new student named 'Sori' who accidentally discovers a mysterious letter in a desk drawer and embarks on a journey to find the next letters connected by clues within the letter.
This film is based on the webtoon of the same name by writer Jo Hyun-a, which was serialized as a summer special 10-part series on Naver Webtoon in 2018, and it is a well-made work that recorded a rating of 9.98 during its serialization due to its solid fandom.
Reborn as a feature-length animation, 'Letter from Yeon' has been invited to prestigious film festivals, including the Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF), one of the top three animation film festivals in the world, and the Animator International Animation Festival, the largest animation festival in Poland, which is officially designated by the Academy, the highest authority in the American film industry. It has also gained attention by winning three awards: the Feature Jury Award, Music Award, and Technical Award at the Bucheon International Animation Festival.
Along with the official release news, a refreshing mood teaser poster featuring the protagonist 'Sori' lying in a field, cherishing the letter, has also been released, capturing attention.
In the teaser poster, silhouettes with numbered letters can also be found, stimulating curiosity about who the anonymous letter sender might be.
It will be available on October 1.
