Comedian Son Min-soo and Lim Ra-ra have been rejected for fetal insurance during their twin pregnancy.
On the 3rd, a video titled "After the Detailed Ultrasound, All Twin Fetal Insurance Was Rejected" was posted on their YouTube channel 'Enjoy Couple'.
On this day, Son Min-soo and Lim Ra-ra received a detailed ultrasound at 20 weeks. They were happy to hear that the first baby is a boy and the second is a girl, but they showed concern when informed that, as twins, the babies are still small and will need to be monitored further.
Upon arriving home, Son Min-soo told Lim Ra-ra, "There’s a small issue, but in the end, all the fetal insurance was rejected."
Lim Ra-ra responded, "That’s not a small issue, is it?" and worried, "What if the most important thing doesn’t work out?" Son Min-soo reassured her, saying, "As long as the kids are healthy, it will be fine."
He then revealed, "The insurance companies rejected everything because of the aspirin prescription." Lim Ra-ra added, "I knew that the aspirin prescription could be unfavorable for fetal insurance, but from our perspective, the doctor said it was necessary to take aspirin to prevent pregnancy-induced hypertension."
Additionally, Lim Ra-ra mentioned that it is more difficult to enroll twins in insurance without a detailed ultrasound report compared to a singleton, expressing disappointment that "there were small opinions suggesting we need to monitor further."
The couple can only pray for the healthy birth of their children, saying, "We can only hope that our babies are born safely without needing NICU or incubators and without any major illnesses."
Son Min-soo and Lim Ra-ra got married in 2023 after 10 years of dating and became pregnant with twins through IVF just two years after their marriage. They are currently appearing together on JTBC's 'Can't Be No. 1 2' and sharing their daily lives through their YouTube channel.
