Singer Kim Jang-hoon made a cameo appearance in 'Fine: Country Bumpkins'.
Kim Jang-hoon made a special appearance as the singer Hyun-in in episode 7 of Disney+'s original series 'Fine: Country Bumpkins', which was released on the 30th of last month.
In the drama, Kim Jang-hoon played the role of the singer Hyun-in, who appeared at a drinking party with Chairman Cheon Hwang-sik (Jang Kwang) and his company executives, to liven up the atmosphere at the request of his wife Yang Jeong-sook (Lim Soo-jung). He captivated the audience by effortlessly performing Hyun-in's hit songs such as 'Rainy Gomo-ryeong' and 'Cherry Pink Mambo', leaving a short but strong impression with high synchronization.
This cameo appearance was made possible through his connection with director Kang Yoon-sung. Kim Jang-hoon practiced for nearly a month, including getting a haircut, dyeing his hair black, and mimicking Hyun-in's singing style, pouring his heart into the performance.
It is said that the director on set, along with actor Jang Kwang and the staff, could not hide their surprise at Kim Jang-hoon's thorough preparation and passionate performance.
Director Kang Yoon-sung praised him, saying, "I didn't expect him to cut his hair and immerse himself to this extent. He was the best cameo."
Meanwhile, Kim Jang-hoon is actively working as a singer and is currently in the midst of ticket sales for his national tour concert 'The Greatest Showman' in Bucheon. Following this special appearance, Kim Jang-hoon plans to meet the public through diverse activities across genres, including drama, film, and musicals, beyond music.
