Announcer Lee Sun-young is leaving KBS after 20 years.
On the 31st, Lee Sun-young announced on Instagram, “I have to share sudden news during my leave,” and “Today, I will be leaving KBS, which has been a part of my life for half of my life.”
She continued, “I looked back at old broadcast photos after a long time. Although I was running around back then, looking back now, I remember more warm and grateful moments than difficult ones. Every moment remains in my heart with gratitude and warmth.”
Lee Sun-young expressed, “I sincerely thank everyone who cherished me as an announcer and sent me overwhelming love despite my shortcomings.”
She added, “I am stepping out of the supportive shelter I loved, and I plan to carry the days I have passionately lived in my heart, while also trying to roll a bit, fly a bit, and take breaks as I live.”
In conclusion, she stated, “I will never forget the love I received as a KBS announcer and the warm memories I will cherish deeply. I hope to walk my own path slowly and firmly in a new form. Please support me warmly.”
Lee Sun-young joined KBS as a 31st-anniversary announcer in 2005. She has appeared on programs such as ‘Today Sports,’ ‘Juju Club,’ ‘Family Entertainment Center,’ ‘Entertainment Relay,’ ‘Ask Anything,’ ‘VJ Special Forces,’ and ‘2TV Live Information.’
