Actor Yang Hyun-min and Choi Cham-rang have revealed the gender of their second child.
In the episode aired on the 1st, SBS 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2') depicted the daily life of Yang Hyun-min and Choi Cham-rang.
On this day, the couple announced, "We have become mom and dad," sharing the news of their pregnancy. The 'Same Bed, Different Dreams' panelists sent their heartfelt congratulations.
Choi Cham-rang shared that she succeeded in getting pregnant after 9 IVF treatments, saying, "My body felt different than before, and I was so tired that I thought, 'Could it be?' I took a pregnancy test, but it showed one line. I was so upset that I threw it in the trash. But then I thought, 'It really seems like it is, but what if it’s not?' So I opened the trash can to check, and there were faintly two lines. The next morning, I took another test, and it showed exactly two lines," recalling the moment she found out she was pregnant.
Yang Hyun-min said, "When I got home, my wife was filming, and when I turned around, there was a note saying 'Congratulations on becoming a dad' along with the pregnancy test. I cried at that moment." He added, "My wife has gone through so much. It's hard for her physically, but every time we failed, I felt more distressed thinking, 'Did we make a big mistake?' Still, I am grateful to my wife for having the courage to make me a prospective dad."
The couple visited the infertility clinic they had been attending and expressed their gratitude to the medical staff by handing them bagels. Yang Hyun-min said, "I felt even better than graduating from school. It felt like a graduation after waiting for six months," with tears in his eyes.
After a brief moment of tears, Yang Hyun-min expressed his excitement, saying, "Finally, the day to find out if it's a son or a daughter has come." After the long wait, the couple entered the consultation room and handed a letter they had written to the attending doctor.
Choi Cham-rang then headed to the ultrasound room. Seeing the 12-week-old fetus 'Anju', she smiled and said, "It's moving. It's moving a lot." Hearing the heartbeat, Yang Hyun-min expressed his overwhelming feelings, saying, "Isn't the sound beautiful?"
At the subsequent gender reveal party, Park Sung-woong and Kim Sung-kyun joined them. When Park Sung-woong asked, "Would you prefer a son or a daughter?" Yang Hyun-min replied, "It really doesn't matter. It really doesn't matter, but I would like to try raising a daughter once."
Yang Hyun-min checked the pink paint smeared on his and Choi Cham-rang's clothes and smiled brightly. He continued, "I think my parents will be very happy too," unable to hide his joy.
Yang Hyun-min said, "The reason I wanted a daughter is that I wanted a daughter who resembles my wife," and added, "I am so grateful to my wife that I can't express it enough. I will do well by her side. Let's strive to be cool parents as 'Anju's' mom and dad. I want to say once again, thank you so much."
