Singer Jung Dong-won (JD1) challenged himself to experience a past life.
On the 24th, the twelfth episode of Jung Dong-won's YouTube content 'Gyangnamja' was released on his official YouTube channel 'Jung Dong-won (JD1)'. In this video, Jung Dong-won embarked on a past life experience.
Regarding the reason for trying the past life experience, Jung Dong-won said, “What if I was a general in my past life? What if I saved a country?” He expressed his curiosity, saying, “In this life, I’m just a regular guy, but maybe I was a strong man in my past life?”
He mentioned that he only slept for two hours, worried that he might not be able to be hypnotized, and showed a serious attitude by drinking tomato juice instead of coffee.
Before the experience, he joked about possibly being Admiral Yi Sun-sin in his past life, bringing laughter, and then began the actual hypnosis with hypnosis expert Jang Ho. After being hypnotized, he appeared to be deeply immersed in the experience, remaining still with his arms fixed.
He retraced his memories from his current life back to his childhood and faced his past life self with a countdown.
The first appearance of Jung Dong-won in his past life was as a foreign man in his 30s, wearing jeans and sneakers while running an apple farm. He was called 'Bin' in the market and described himself as an ordinary-looking person.
When asked about a loved one, he mentioned a woman with pigtails wearing overalls, saying, “She’s pretty.” He noted that she liked his good side, and they got married and had five children. Although they were very poor, he felt happy because of his family.
Moving to the moment of death, Jung Dong-won said, “There are many kids and people at home.” When asked if he had any regrets from that life, he confessed, “I didn’t live well. I think I just worked too much.”
He recalled that the person he loved the most was his wife, who resembled his current grandmother. He left a lasting impression by saying that both of them seemed to have gone through a lot of hardships.
He stated that what he wanted to cherish most from his past life was “living kindly.” Jung Dong-won, who struggled to open his eyes, said, “Strangely, I can see a little bit. I just felt that I lived very hard,” and added, “I think my past life was tough, which makes me feel like I’m living comfortably now.”
He continued, “In this life, I need to enjoy myself so I don’t die just working. I should live without regrets,” and cheerfully concluded, “I was definitely just a regular guy in my past life too.”
