BTS's Jungkook shed hot tears while watching the Netflix animated film ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ (hereafter ‘K-Demon’).
On the 14th, Jungkook communicated with global fans through a live broadcast on the fan community platform ‘Weverse’. During the broadcast, he mentioned, “I cried watching ‘K-Demon’,” recalling a scene from the movie. He particularly got teary-eyed during the scene where the protagonist shouts, “I will create my own soul!” while running towards the performance venue.
Jungkook also watched the scene where Jinwoo sacrifices his life for Lumi and provided real-time reactions. He lamented, “Why throw yourself in harm's way? You could fight together. Why turn your back and stop that?” He wiped away tears, saying, “If you’ve given your soul, both of you should think about living hard together. What are you doing?”
He gestured as if swallowing tears, saying, “These days, when it’s overwhelming…” He then shared his feelings with fans, saying, “You know what I mean.”
‘K-Demon’ is a Netflix animated film that tells the story of a K-pop girl group fighting against evil spirits. It uniquely combines traditional Korean culture with the world of K-pop idols, receiving praise for its high-quality direction.
