Former announcer and broadcaster Oh Jung-yeon shared her thoughts on hosting the event 'Month of National Defense and Veterans, Invitation from the President' held at the Blue House.
On the 27th, Oh Jung-yeon posted on Instagram, "This was the first event held at the Blue House under the new government," and added, "I was very honored to be part of such a meaningful occasion to deeply engrave and repay the noble dedication of national merit holders and veteran families who protected the country."
She continued, "I couldn't film the main event, but I was able to shoot a video during the rehearsal," and expressed her emotions, saying, "To be able to talk about my grandfather, the late Colonel Oh Jun-hwan, who was a Korean War veteran, in front of the President and veteran families, was a heartwarming moment that reminded me of my grandfather. I hope he is resting peacefully."
The released photos and videos show Oh Jung-yeon in a white suit conducting the rehearsal.
Oh Jung-yeon also wrote, "I will not forget that the current peace was not given for free. I will remember your sacrifices and dedication."
On that day, the Presidential Office invited over 160 national merit holders and veteran families to the Blue House guesthouse for a luncheon in celebration of the Month of National Defense and Veterans. This was prepared to show the utmost respect and gratitude to those who sacrificed and dedicated themselves for the country.
