Professor Park Kyu-joo revealed the reason he scolds his patients.
On the 16th, Professor Park Kyu-joo, who has been fighting colorectal cancer for 30 years, appeared as a guest on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block'.
On that day, Yoo Jae-suk asked, "I hear that Professor Park Kyu-joo often scolds his patients. He scolds when he touches their stomachs and finds they have gained weight, when he does rounds at night and finds the bed empty, and when he asks questions. What is this about?"
Professor Park Kyu-joo explained, "It's a communication method that achieves results in a short time. I particularly scold patients who come in having gained weight. As a result, my patients try to hold in their stomachs when they come to the clinic. Also, when I do rounds and find no one there, I scold because it's hard for me to do rounds often. I want to at least see their faces, and when they're not there, I feel disappointed and scold them."
He added, "When patients hear they have cancer, they worry too much and focus on unnecessary information. They think, 'Should I try what they say is good?' but I tell them, 'If you have money to spend on that, go out to eat vegetables with your family instead.'
Meanwhile, 'You Quiz on the Block' airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM.
