Lee Kyung-kyu, a broadcaster suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, was revealed to have caused several accidents before being caught by the police, as shown in CCTV footage.

According to an MBN report on the 25th, Lee Kyung-kyu caused a minor collision by hitting a parked bus around noon on the 8th in an alley in Gangnam, Seoul.

After getting out of the car, Lee Kyung-kyu was seen stumbling on the road instead of the sidewalk, and two vehicles approaching from behind were captured on CCTV crossing the center line.

The driver of the damaged vehicle reported, “(Lee Kyung-kyu) said he was trying to park his car but hit mine a little because the cold medicine made him feel slow.”

After the accident, Lee Kyung-kyu moved his vehicle to another location around the corner and headed to a nearby hospital. After finishing his treatment, he went to a completely different parking lot about 20 meters away from where he had parked and left the scene in another vehicle that was there.

A parking lot employee stated, “When I told him, ‘Sir, you didn’t leave your car with us today,’ he replied, ‘Oh, did I?’ and then went home.”

Before going to the hospital, footage from a gas station car wash showed him rushing forward and crashing into a wall despite the staff's gestures to reverse. After leaving the car wash, he was also seen making an illegal left turn by crossing the center line on a road without traffic lights.

On the 8th, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle and conducted a simple drug test on Lee Kyung-kyu, who tested positive for drugs and was charged with violating traffic laws.

After the police investigation on the 24th, Lee Kyung-kyu told reporters, “I didn’t fully realize that I shouldn’t drive when I was taking medication for panic disorder and felt unwell. I think it would be better to refrain from driving if I have such medications in the future, and I will also be more careful myself.”
