The 9th anniversary of the late actor Kim Sung-min has arrived.
Kim Sung-min was found collapsed in his home bathroom on June 24, 2016, and was declared brain dead two days later on the 26th, ending his short life at the age of 43.
In accordance with Kim Sung-min's wishes, his family decided to donate his organs, giving new life to five patients, including kidneys, liver, and corneas.
He debuted as an advertising model and rose to stardom through the MBC drama 'Mermaid Lady'. He continued to gain popularity with shows like 'Queen Flower Fairy' and 'Fantasy Couple'. In 2009, he appeared on the KBS2 variety show 'Men's Qualification', earning the affectionate nickname 'Kim Bong-chang' and receiving much love.
However, after suspending his broadcasting activities in 2010 due to drug use allegations, he spent time in self-reflection. He remarried in 2013 and started a new family, but was re-arrested in 2015 on drug charges again. He was released from jail in January 2016, but sadly ended his life just five months later.
