Actress Lee Si-young shared her struggles with high male hormones.
On the 23rd, a video featuring Lee Si-young, Jung Sang-hoon, and Kim Da-som was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yeob'.
In the released video, Lee Si-young revealed, "I had to visit the hospital for a year because my testosterone (male hormone) levels were too high."
She stated, "When I was filming the Netflix series 'Sweet Home', I put all my soul into working out. At that time, my muscle mass exceeded 30 kg for the first time. My body fat percentage was about 6%." To this, MC Shin Dong-yeob expressed surprise, saying, "6% for a man doesn't make sense."

Lee Si-young mentioned, "I didn't have my period at that time," and added, "When I was active as a boxing athlete, I also had a low body fat percentage and didn't have my period. After I moved up a weight class, I thought I would gain weight back and it would return, so I didn't think much of it. However, even after my body fat returned to normal levels, I still didn't have my period, so I went to the hospital."
She continued, "After the tests, they told me my body was in confusion. I had so much muscle mass that my male hormone levels were much higher, leading my body to mistake me for not being a woman," and added, "I was very shocked at that time. Since then, losing that much weight has been a bit scary."
In the past, Lee Si-young explained about her back muscles that became a hot topic after the release of 'Sweet Home' on MBC's entertainment show 'Jeon Ji-gyeong' saying, "I've received a lot of messages asking me to clarify. It's definitely not CGI. I did a lot of pull-ups and deadlifts."
Lee Si-young married a restaurant entrepreneur in September 2017 and has one son, but they divorced in March after eight years of marriage. She is currently appearing in the drama 'Salon de Homes'.
