Actor Choi Philip revealed his recent transformation into a businessman.
On the 21st, he appeared as a special MC on the SBS variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2').
During the broadcast, Choi Philip shared that he rushed over immediately after receiving a phone call from his 'Marine Corps buddy' Song Jae-hee. In response, Song Jae-hee joked, "Last time when I called Yang Dong-geun, I was cautious, but with Choi Philip, I just made a call. It's because he's a junior in the Marine Corps," which brought laughter.
Choi Philip mentioned that he started his business during his long hiatus from the entertainment industry. He said, "The acting life is irregular, so I started a business for my family," and added, "I have been in the corrugated box manufacturing industry for 8 years."
When Seo Jang-hoon asked, "Is it true that your revenue exceeded 10 billion won in 2018?" Choi Philip surprised everyone by saying, "As of last year, the revenue is just under 20 billion won." He added, "It's the result of hard work in sales. I think I've reached out to all the factories in the Gyeonggi Province."
Meanwhile, Choi Philip debuted in 2005 with the drama 'The Age of Youth' and has appeared in dramas such as 'Blow Breeze', 'Promise with God', 'Welcome 2 Life', and 'Gold is Gold'.
